My Grandpa is one of the sweetest, kind, fun and happy people I know. His is one of my heroes and someone I always look up to.
1. He is kind
Grandpa is always kind. He would cut up fruit, ask you how you were going, and show you love in many different ways. He is an inspiration and a lighthouse of unwavering love and little acts of kindness to me.
As a kid, he made me a paper origami bird. I have kept this bird in my memories box as long as a remember as a reminder of the kindness of my Grandpa.
2. He is fun
Grandpa is always ready for fun. When we visited him in South Africa one year, he bought a whole bunch of water balloons. He got me and my brothers to fill them up and waited in ambush for my Uncle Grant to come home. We had a absolute blast pelting my uncle with the balloons!
Another day during the same holiday me and my brother went to the pet store and bought budgies. It was an adventure I haven’t forgotten! (I did leave the cage open and one of them escaped 😆).
